Jason Hall is a veteran with quite possibly the most elegant bus we have ever seen in person. Take a ride with Jason as he tells us about the personal journey he took to get the bus and where he plans to take it.

The Badlands of Nebraska, North and South Dakota
We thundered our way through three states, making haste to meet our friends at Happy Productions in Minnesota. A set of bad valve cover seals had me spraying an oil slick out from behind the bus and the highways through North Dakota are long. Like really long. But each of these three states—Nebraska, South Dakota,Continue reading “The Badlands of Nebraska, North and South Dakota”
Wyoming Parks
Wyoming knows how to do parks. We heard it would be nearly impossible to stay in Yellowstone without a reservation, but we managed to score a weekend campsite right around the corner from Old Faithful thanks to some cancellations.
One year
We left home a year ago. We sold most of our possessions, donated hundreds of books, and stored what we had left in the corner of my mom’s basement. On the day we were supposed to leave, our alternator died. Then the clutch cable snapped. After making the repairs with significant help from our mostContinue reading “One year”
Idaho in review
Idaho, Idaho, Idaho. Has any other state in the country stolen my heart more than this piece of paradise? Certainly not. If you’ve not been to Idaho, I encourage you to stay at home; I want this state all to myself. It’s a dream.
Montana in review

Of course Joe Biden is not the president of Canada, where gas prices are higher. Then we go inside to hear a guy literally shouting,Continue reading “Montana in review”
Podcast: Ian & Kaitlin
We were passing through Escalante, Utah, and met a young couple, Ian and Kaitlyn. Even though they had a sweet home in the heart of this mountain town, they had previously lived in their 1986 Syncro. We got to hear all about how they managed living in the bus—through turbulent weather and life circumstances.
Alberta
Man, Jasper and Banff—stunning.
Podcast: Paul
We sat down with Paul Austin, the owner and operator of Austin Automotive in Canon City, Colorado. Even though Austin Automotive doesn’t specialize in air cooled VWs like our bus, Paul is more than knowledgable about bay windows like ours. He was willing to spend an afternoon giving our bus the once over before weContinue reading “Podcast: Paul”
Podcast: Sally
This episode is really special to me. When Miracle and I started out on our 49 state adventure, we received a lot of encouragement. But then I got a message from a woman I used to work with at children’s services some fifteen plus years ago. Her name is Sally Doyle. Even though we workedContinue reading “Podcast: Sally”
