Hello from the northeast corner of the Sooner State, where we will see a Frank Lloyd Wright tower, visit the Bob Dylan archives and manage to squeeze in an interview. Here’s a few tunes to keep us company until we hit the state line.

Playlist: Kansas
Kansas is big and broad and flat like an area rug with all the smell of cattle. Like any state we’ve visited, you have to know where to look to keep yourself entertained. But the distance between those locales need some road music. Here’s three songs for the Sunflower State. And, no, I am notContinue reading “Playlist: Kansas”
Playlist: Iowa
It’s our second time through the Hawkeye state and since I missed the playlist the first time, here’s an offering of some really solid tunes to get us through until Kansas.

Not sure about Big. And,Continue reading “Playlist: South Dakota”
Wyoming Parks
Wyoming knows how to do parks. We heard it would be nearly impossible to stay in Yellowstone without a reservation, but we managed to score a weekend campsite right around the corner from Old Faithful thanks to some cancellations.
One year
We left home a year ago. We sold most of our possessions, donated hundreds of books, and stored what we had left in the corner of my mom’s basement. On the day we were supposed to leave, our alternator died. Then the clutch cable snapped. After making the repairs with significant help from our mostContinue reading “One year”
Idaho in review
Idaho, Idaho, Idaho. Has any other state in the country stolen my heart more than this piece of paradise? Certainly not. If you’ve not been to Idaho, I encourage you to stay at home; I want this state all to myself. It’s a dream.
